International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) SHC has organized workshop on how to validate a method and check the performance of quality system in Seed Health testing.

Aim of the workshop:
Workshop will provide an overview of Seed health testing methods and method validation principle as well as methods to check the performance of their quality system: ability to implement a method, proficiency tests organization.
Target Groups:
Workshop is aimed for people who implement new methods in their lab, are or want to be accredited and want to check the performance of their quality system and understand how ISTA access it.
It is also for people who want to validate new methods or organize proficiency tests.
Preliminary program:
1. Lectures on following topics-
Organization of Seed Health Testing in Spain.
ISTA organization, accreditation system and SHC.
Pests and seed health testing methods.
How to access performance: diagnostic and analytical sensitivity, repeatability, reproducibility?
2. Practicals on example with different pathogens/type of results-
Determination of % contamination of a seed lot.
Guidelines to set up test plans for validation of method and organization of proficiency tests.
